The 3M Decatur Site is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager at our facility located in Decatur, Alabama. This person will provide EHS management and leadership in the Decatur Site's Global Safety & Health Plan, PSM, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics and Environmental and Regulatory programs and site Security. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Implementing, coordinating and maintaining: Process Safety Management, Environmental and Safety programs to meet the requirements of the 3M Global Safety & Health Plan and Industrial Hygiene programs including Respiratory Protection, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, and Ergonomics etc. Providing safety / health / environmental consultation while implementing and coordinating continuous improvement efforts of safety and environmental programsProviding leadership in facility, site and divisional goal attainment, including the EHS Management System, ISO 14001 and RC14001 objectives Interacting with regulatory agenciesManage a group of EHS Engineers, Occupational Health Nurse, Fire Protection and Site SecurityServe on MRD and FMSCO Leadership Teams providing coaching and leadership to achieving plant's EHS goals and objectives.
This position provides a challenging opportunity to work with an experienced team of EHS professionals in a manufacturing setting. The EHS Manager will serve as the primary contact for all EHS efforts at the plant. This position will also be involved with Site wide EHS efforts were applicable. Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status) Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S.
