Registered Nurse / RN - Home Health Supervisor

1. Intake â€"Referral-Schedule Process
2. Staff orientation, education, and development
3. ICD-coding accuracy and Medical record audits
4. Patient accounts: HH, HME, DME, Lifeline
5. Supervision of all staff
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
Intake/Referral/Scheduling Process
1. Monitors all referrals and insures Agency is able to provide the services required.
2. Oversees the insurance verification process insuring that all services are covered prior to scheduling visits or that patient is informed of any costs they may be responsible for.
3. Monitors scheduling process to insure OAR’s are completed accurately and timely and that scheduling of visits is performed.
Staff Orientation Education and Development
4. Coordinates Orientation, HH Aide training program, and other inservice and educational programs for
all home health Staff.
5. Develops annual competency program insuring that all competencies are completed on an annual basis for all clinical staff.
6. Performs home visit evaluations and reports findings.
7. Conducts clinical record reviews and reports findings.
Medical Record Audits
8. Monitors for compliance with Agency processes and policies by performing medical record audits.
9. Reviews assessment findings and clinical documentation to ensure that the 485 plan of care, diagnosis codes, and HHRG’s are accurate and complete.
Patient Accounts: HH, HME, Lifeline
10. Monitors for payment compliance.
11. Serves as a supervisor of HH, HME, and Lifeline patient account systems.
12. Performs compliance audits as outlined by regulating bodies and per Agency guidelines.
13. Develops, implements, and evaluates collection process for accuracy and improvement in Agency processes.
Performance Improvement Activities
15. Participates in collecting, aggregating and analyzing of data to improve Agency processes and policies.
Other
16. Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
17. Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards.
18. Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
19. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current Alabama license (BSN preferred). Must be knowledgeable in federal and state governmental regulations governing home health services; must demonstrate excellent nursing judgment and leadership ability; must possess 3-5 years management experience in home health with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop staff using team concepts, strong interpersonal/communication skills. Can write legibly; speak, read and comprehend English.
