Manages and maintains standard professional care on mental health services unit. Maintains open communication with the department psychiatrist, psyc! hologist, nursing and other mental staff, for better management and care of inmate patients and assures continuity of care for inpatient and outpatient inmates. Provides individual and group counseling services to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social education and vocation development. Compiles, prepares and submits required reports and requested information timely, including administrative and departmental reports. Interviews and evaluates qualifications of prospective candidates for employment and makes recommendations to the Program Manager regarding suitability.
- Masters Degree or PhD in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work from an accredited university.
- Annual PPD and CPR certification
- Security clearance, where applicable
