CLINICAL RESEARCH NURSE

Detailed specification about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. Under general supervision, performs duties related to initiating and implementing research projects. Ensures adherence to appropriate protocols in the recruitment, screening, enrollment, trea! tment and retention of study patients/participants/volunteers. May supervise or oversee the work of supportive clinical and/or office personnel, assisting with performance evaluations and monitoring data collection and study progress. May initiate and maintain regulatory activities associated with research protocols such as IRB submissions and renewals, Conflict of Interest Board regulations, FDA regulations, etc. May review and monitor reports received from external clinical study sites. May communicate with pharmaceutical companies regarding clinical trial. Following generally accepted nursing practice and the dictates of the research protocol, performs and/or assists with clinical procedures as necessary. Performs follow up on research patients/participants/volunteers and monitors compliance to protocol requirements. Collects, organizes and maintains data as required. Responds to the unique needs of all patients/participants/volunteers ages newborn through geriatric.
(Annual Salary Range: $41,038 - $52,936 - $64,834! ) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Prior research experience is preferred. Licensure / Certifications Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
