The University of North Alabama (UNA) seeks applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for Busines! s and Financial Affairs (VPBFA). The VPBFA is the Chief Financial Officer of the University, reports directly to the President, and serves on the President's Executive Council. The VPBFA has responsibility for the Business and Financial Affairs Division that includes accounting, human resources, procurement, auxiliary services, and facilities management. In addition, the VPBFA serves as Treasurer of the University of North Alabama Foundation. The VPBFA prepares, administers, and provides oversight for the University budget, as directed by the President and approved by the Board of Trustees.
Qualifications for the position include the following: a master's degree in a business-related field is required, a doctoral degree in a business-related field or higher education administration is preferred; CPA is considered a plus; a minimum of 6 years of executive financial management experience is required, preferably in a public higher education environment. A combi! nation of education, training, and experience may be acceptabl! e.
UNA is a regional, master's level, state-assisted institution of higher education located in Florence, Alabama and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
