This regional position within communications is responsible for strategic development and management of internal communications across our AdventHealth’s organizational culture. Primary responsibility includes developing communication plans that elevate and support team member initiatives, including, but not limited to: writing content for internal collaterals and coordinating production of materials with our internal design team; managing internal video content, creating communication campaigns and content for intranet (Connect and Connect mobile). The Communications Manager will partner with stakeholders to develop and implement communication strategies and content that supports business objectives and effectively engages audiences. This person will also be an active member at Communications Department events. This position will support 24/7 on call needs for Communications, PR, disaster needs in the region in collaboration with the Regional Director of Communications and AdventHealth corporate communications.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

COMPETENCIES (15%)
Demonstrates competency in required job skills and exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully and resolves problems in early stages with minimal supervision.
MANAGERIAL (20%)
- Manages assigned project teams, including training, performance management, assignment, and allocation of resources including approval for scheduling of staff
- Develops, communicates and manages project requirements and timelines with supervisor and team members to ensure proper project completion as well as on-time delivery
CONTENT MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT (25%)
- Develops and effectively disseminates compelling content that aligns with strategic goals and objectives
- Manages creative productions – including print, video and digital
COMMUNICATIONS (25%)
- Plans and executes on the assigned internal and external communication plans
- Conducts ongoing communication audits and feedback to evaluate methods of communication, receptivity and recall of key messages and take appropriate action based on audit results.
SPECIAL PROJECTS (5%)
- Assists with various corporate projects and events as deemed necessary
- Performs special assignments as requested by supervisor
GOALS (10%)
- Exceed CEO survey score from previous year
- 2 individual goals TBD (Created by employee and supervisor.)
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, marketing or communications.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in communications, marketing or media/public relations
- Professional writing portfolio required (press releases, social media content, pitches, newsletters, etc.)
- Minimum 1-2 years management experience
Preferred:
- Journalism experience
- Understanding of change communication and social media vernacular and trends
- Graphic design skills such as InDesign and Photoshop
- Experience with video scripting and production
