Detailed Job Description: Under the direction of the Vice President of Patient Care Services (VP), the Director of Telemetry/ PCU is responsible on a 24-hour basis for the planning and comprehensive operations of a specific clinical un! it or group of units ensuring compliance with hospital and nur! sing mission, goals, philosophy, policies and procedures.
The Director utilizes the nursing process in the delivery of patient care and ensures quality care is provided through appropriate allocation of human resources, maintaining financial control of the unit, and serving as a liaison between administration and staff. 40 beds with approximately 75 FTE's including a Clinical Educatoe and an Assistant Manager (PCM). Current unrestricted RN licensure is required.
The individual must demonstrates personal and professional responsibility; participates in creating an atmosphere of mutual trust, acceptance, recognition and respect; and assumes responsibility for own professional development. Requirements
BSN , Master's Degree preferred
2 years of Director leve! l experience required including Business and Personnel experience
Background in Cardiac or Critical Care required
Must demonstrate personal and professional responsibility
Must assume responsibility for own professional development
