Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Independent Practitioner, and according to the established policies and procedures the ENT Medical Assis! tant is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the ENT clinical area. Assist physicians with patient care procedures. Helps organize, maintain and file patient charts. Assist with the cleaning and processing of instruments. Demonstrates a positive attitude and has good customer service skills.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent . Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performing simple medical and laboratory procedures and EKGs. Must: (1) enter 4,000 keystrokes per hour; (2) possess basic knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.
Preferred: Three years of clinical experience preferred.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required:
 CCMA Certification from the National Healthcare Association (NHA). If certified by another accrediting agency, NHA certification must be obtained w! ithin 6 months of employment.
 Current CPR certificatio! n or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
