The USA Physicians Group is a private practice group comprised of 150 physicians on faculty at the USA College of Medicine. USA Physicians Group represents the region’s largest multi-speci! alty practice and the only academic physicians group along the central Gulf Coast. The USA Physicians Group clinics are managed by the USA HealthCare Management, LLC.
Essential Functions:
Assists physicians with exams and procedures; takes vital signs; triages patients at the clinic as well as over the phone; takes phone messages from patients and handles appropriately with physician involved; calls prescriptions in to pharmacies; assists with emergency patient care; administers injections; dispenses medication; phlebotomizes patients; cleans, restocks and sets-up patient exam rooms for exams and procedures; escorts and assists patients to their car, lab or x-ray; performs various tests and procedures to include EKGs, tympanometry, audiometry, spirometry, inhalation therapy, pregnancy tests, dipstick urinalysis and blood glucose testing using a glucose meter; maintains supply inventory; prepares lab and x-ray requests; prepares patient referral forms; sc! hedules patient appointments with other physicians; schedules ! tests and procedures for patients; assists with locating, maintaining and filing patient charts; assists with locating and filing patient test results and dictation; ensures supply, medicine and exam rooms are locked each evening; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing meeting the minimum standards set by the state of Alabama and licensure with the state of Alabama as a licensed practical nurse.
Working Days and Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
