Description
The CNA/Unit Clerk performs nursing assistant and clerical duties in collaboration with the registered n! urse to assure the safe and efficient operation of the unit and the safe care of the patient. Performs clerical responsibilities related to a specific unit or department. Posts and reconciles department charges. Transcribes physician orders. Maintains accurate and appropriate patient information on the chart. Also performs certain elements of patient care, including assisting patients with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience as a Unit Clerk in an acute-care facility
Computer literate (Windows Applications, HMS, AS400)
Nursing Assistant Certification or 1 completed semester of a clinical course in a college level nursing program
CPR required
Other Required Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision!
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experi! ence in healthcare
