The Procedure Nurse is responsible for provision and management of patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations. The Procedure Nurse delivers care to patients utilizing the n! ursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Degree from an accredited school of professional nursing. One (1) year of RN experience. Must: (1) enter 4,000 keystrokes per hour; (2) possess basic knowledge of PC applications, software, and database management.
Preferred: One year recovery room experience, conscious sedation and Endoscopy experience.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:Required:
 Current Alabama RN license
 Current CPR certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment
 ACLS certification or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
 PALS certification or must be obtained within 6 months of employ! ment.
Preferred: Member of the Society of Gast! roenterology Nurses Association (SGNA), certification
