Comfort Care Hospice is searching for an agency Administrator for our new Huntsville, Alabama agency!
The Hospice Administrator works with the agency Coordinators,! Administrative staff, and Regional Administrator in planning all aspects of agency operations, including setting priorities and job assignments. He or she monitors each departments activities, communicates policies, evaluates performance, provides feedback, and assists, coaches and takes corrective action as needed.
Our Hospice Administrators continuously monitor the delivery of nursing care, support services, and employee recognition to ensure patient needs are being addressed in a proactive manner. They perform periodic audits of the agencys medical records, personnel files, committee reports, and inservice/staff meeting manuals to assure agency performance meets or exceeds state/federal regulations governing hospice care. They also develop and implement a marketing strategy for the agency that reflects service opportunities, competition, potential market area changes and which maximize census and payor mix.
Other important duties include ensuring current an! d future staffing through development of recruiting sources, e! nsuring the building and grounds are properly maintained and that equipment and work areas are clean, safe and orderly and any hazardous conditions are addressed, and managing agency and business practices to include labor costs, payables and receivables
Must possess a Bachelors Degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing or BSW/MSW of Social Work preferred)
Must have a least five (5) years experience with a minimum of two (2) years in an administrative/supervisory capacity and one year in hospice.
Must be licensed in the state of Alabama; have and maintain a current drivers license in the state and maintain automobile liability insurance.
Must be able to relate positively and favorably to the patients, families and outside agencies and to work cooperatively with other Employees.
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance, as required.
