MI Residential Services

Full Time/ 40 hours

Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Person-centered philosophy of client care
Complete and maintain MAC (Medication Assistance Certification). This
certification must be completed within the first 90 days of employment

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Ensure that all assigned duties are implemented according to IRMHC policies
and procedures

Ensure that all assigned duties are implemented according to Department of
Mental Health standards

Ensure that all safety, fire prevention, and health measures are followed

Ensure that a good driving record is maintained at all times, particularly
in transporting consumers o! r driving on agency-related business

Ensure that all state and Medicaid standards for the programs are maintained

Assist with the screening of consumers coming into the program

Continually monitor consumers within the programs and work with staff to
implement appropriate movement plans

Ensure that all staff within the program has adequate programmatic training
to provide safe and effective care

Schedule all staff to attend required staff training

Ensure the facility has adequate supplies

Report any concerns of abseneeism to the Residential Coordinator and/or
Manager

Rotate on-call responsibilities

Ensure staff are scheduled according to guidelines

Complete bi-weeekly notes, as required by Department of Mental Health
Standards

Work with clients and other agencies to ensure clients obtain benefits

Monitor documentation for the Clinical Program, to ensure! that treatment
plans/reviews, group/individual Basic Living Skills! notes, significant event
logs, and clinical staff notes are appropriate and complete

Ensure accurate and up-to-date files on all consumers and completion of
documentation in a timely manner

Conduct individual or group training as indicated

Participate with therapists, nurse, and program staff in all treatment team
meetings

Coordinate the transporation of community clients to/from the Clinical
Program

Work with nursing staff to coordinate securing consumers' medications and
appropriate medication management within the program

Complete monthly administrative reports as required

Supervise/assist with scheduling of staff to ensure adequate coverage of the
programs in the most cost-effective manner

Ensure that the upkeep of the facilities is maintained

Support Organizational Code of Conduct, Standards Compliance, HIPAA, and
Security Programs.
Maintain the confidentia! l nature of all consumer and Organization related
activities by not divulging information outside the facility.
Adhere to attendance and punctuality policy by allowing adequeate time to
arrive, clock-in, and assume responsibilities at designated time.
Comply with all standards related to safety and health.
Identify opportunities for improving the quality of services provided by the
department and the organization.
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or
Executive Director.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or 2 years supervisory experience
required

Experience in mental health setting preferred

Valid Alabama Driver’s License and with good driving record as defined by
Indian Rivers policy

Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehe! nd English.
