The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate Medicare advantage members healthcare needs across a continuum for Precertification. The Nurse will review request for services and review and evaluate clinical information using Medicare guidelines to determine whether or not a request for services meets criteria or should be reviewed by the medical director. Determinations to be made using Chapter 13/CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid) and based on a 72 hour timeframe. Must be able to multi task and make decisions that are accurate and while using ! nursing judgement, in the best interest of the member. Also, m! ust be able to follow internal guidelines and policy and procedure as it relates to processing request.
Associate's degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2-4 years of hospital experience preferred. LPN/RN license required in the state of AL. .
