To collaborate with and at the direction of the surgeon and in collaboration with the healthcare team in performing a safe operation with optimal patient outcomes during the intraoperative phase of the perioperative experience. To practice perioperative nursing and possess the necessary knowledge, skills and judgment specific to clinical practice. Minimum Qualifications Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, successful completion of a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) program accepted by T! he Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN), and ! two (2) years of related experience OR graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and successful completion of the didactic portion of an accredited dual Nurse Practitioner/Registered Nurse First Assistant (NP/RNFA) program required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Posting Salary Minimum 55265.6 Posting Salary Maximum 89523.2 Employment Status Full Time Benefit Eligible Shifts Day / 1st Shift Licensure / Certifications Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Credentialed as a Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) within three (3) years from the date of employment required.
